Deus Misereatur Defeats Nalorakk! (submitted by Havokiya at 09:37pm CDT) On Saturday August 30th, 2008 we hit Zul'Aman as a guild. For most of us, it was the first time setting foot into the dungeon. Essentially, this was a learning experience for all... and learn we did! The first pulls we're rather easy. We learned to kill the “Medicine Men” first as their "Protective Ward" totems made them virtually invulnerable. Our DPS team was quick to disperse of the totems. Next was the "Armani Bears". This was pretty much tank and spank and we killed them fairly easy (Poor bears!!). Fourth pull was pretty much the same, with good CC and quick dispersal of the Medicine Men. We arrived at the first 2 "Amani'shi Warbringers". This was somewhat of a challenge and we died several times learning what needed to be done and getting a feel for it. However, we did learn quickly. When we faced them again, it went a lot more smoothly! That's what this raid is all about, progression and the raid mechanics. I personally was very impressed on how fast our raid improved on these pulls! The Nalorakk fight was probably the greatest challenge we faced in ZA so far. We died quite a few times It was fun! lol..really! Especially when we tried to reset Nalorakk after a failed attempt and I died almost each time running to the stairs (bears are fat and slow!). Everyone learned to be on their toes with this fight…especially our healing team who did an excellent job under trying conditions. A few times I messed up on the agro and got smooshed. But I learned the timing and Mazthoril (Zue) calling out the time 5 seconds before Nalorakk changed forms made a huge difference! Good job man! Good job to all of you that attended! No one got frustrated and everyone was super patient. We stuck to it and finally dropped Nalorakk! Raid Report By: Everwind
